Job DescriptionPartnership Tax ManagerVenture capital firm is currently looking for a Partnership Tax Manager to assist with the tax and accounting related to various entities. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills in conjunction with strong analytical and technical abilities. Must be detail-oriented, highly accurate, and a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.The finance group, which provides support to the venture capital firm and the families associated with its managing directors, currently has twenty-two people including the Chief Financial Officer and six directors.Primary Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of income tax returns for various partnerships
• Planning for and preparing quarterly income tax estimates and annual extensions for various partnerships
• Review of general ledger accounting for various partnerships on a quarterly basis
• Researching tax related issues
• Responding to tax notices
• Assisting Director of Accounting and Director of Finance with special projects on an as-needed basis
• Work with CFO and Director of Finance to develop a quarterly forecasting system for portfolio companiesQualifications:
  • Four-year college degree in accounting, finance, or economics required; CPA a plus
  • At a minimum, 5 years of experience preparing partnership tax returns for venture capital, private equity, or other alternative investment vehicles
  • Proficiency using CCH Axcess or ProSystems fx Tax and CCH Workpaper Manager a plus
  • Competency with Adobe and MS Office products, especially Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and technical abilities
  • Detail-oriented
  • Highly motivated; a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision in a team oriented environment
