That's the ultimate purpose of the Reserve protocol, which lets anyone create a new currency backed 1:1 by a collection of tokenized assets.ABC Labs contributes to the development of the Reserve protocol and helps to support and grow the Reserve ecosystem.Role Summary:As the Head of Finance, you will oversee all financial activities, from strategic planning to daily operations. This includes overseeing financial planning and analysis, accounting, and financial reporting. You will play a crucial role in shaping the company's financial strategy and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.The job requires being extremely hands-on while maintaining oversight and actively contributing to strategic matters. You'll be working with a highly motivated team and reporting directly to the leadership team. You will also work closely with other teams to make data-driven financial decisions and manage risks.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the company's financial strategy to align with its long-term goals.
• Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support decision-making processes.
• Manage and optimize daily accounting operations.
• Prepare and supervise accurate financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Design and monitor financial controls to mitigate risk and safeguard company assets.
• Stay updated on changes in regulations, accounting standards, and cryptocurrency industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Manage accounting systems and crypto-specific platforms to track token movements across exchanges and DeFi applications on-chain.
• Oversee the consolidation of financial statements from multiple entities for tax filings.
• Oversee internal audits and manage relationships with external accounting firms.Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Experience managing a finance and accounting function at a high-growth company, preferably within the tech or blockchain industry
  • Strong understanding of financial management of decentralized or blockchain-based companies
  • Broad knowledge of GAAP and understanding of US tax regulations
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • An analytical mind with good organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to a rapidly changing startup environmentNice to haves:
    • Experience scaling accounting and finance organizations
    • A strong understanding of cryptocurrency is beneficial, but not essential
