About EventualEventual is a data platform that helps data scientists and engineers build data applications across ETL, analytics and ML/AI.OUR PRODUCT IS OPEN-SOURCE AND USED AT ENTERPRISE SCALEOur distributed data engine is open-sourced and runs on 800k CPU cores daily. This is more compute than Frontier, the world's largest supercomputer!Today's data tooling (Spark, Presto, Snowflake) was built for a world of tabular data analytics, but does not generalize to the needs of modern ML/AI such as multimodal data, heterogenous compute and user-defined Python algorithms.Eventual and Daft bridge that gap, making ML/AI workloads easy to run alongside traditional tabular workloads.Key Responsibilities:

• Build out core capabilities for Daft's SQL parser and query optimizer.
• Flesh out DDL and DML operations for Daft SQL.
• Build a first-class user experience for SQL including error messages, syntax highlighting, autocompletion, documentation and guides.
• Architect core components of the Daft query engine to work with advanced SQL concepts such as correlated subqueries, self-joins and more.Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience working with SQL parsing and query planning.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL tools.
• Understanding of database design principles and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
