Viasat offers an exceptional environment where you can thrive and contribute to world-class engineering solutions.The day-to-dayAs a Staff Engineer for the Mobility Application Server organization, you will play a crucial role in creating new designs, architectures, and methods for large-scale distributed systems. Collaborating closely with third party developers, customers, senior software engineers, product owners, and team leads, you will ensure that design roadmaps align with our long-term strategic vision and immediate business priorities.What you'll need

• Break down business, technical, and non-technical requirements into technical roadmaps.
• Build and clearly communicate designs that can be implemented by DevOps Teams with minimal direction.
• Apply your experience in Kubernetes, Helm, and Rancher/Fleet to assist 3rd parties in adding their products to Viasat's growing portfolio.What will help you on the job
• Excellent communication skills to drive interaction with customers, peer developers, and project managers.
• The ability to train and guide junior software developers, along with expertise in designing and developing microservice architectures.
• Familiarity with modern approaches to configuring, testing, and deploying microservices independently.
