Cred Protocol's building one of the first decentralized credit scores, a DeFi primitive that unlocks capital-efficient lending and enables under-served communities to access the power of DeFi lending.We're funded by top crypto investors including AllianceDAO, Volt Capital, Robot Ventures, GSR Markets, DCG Expeditions, SNZ Holding, AngelDAO, imToken and amazing founders and executives from across web2 and web3.We're a team of prior founders with successful exits and deep expertise in massively scalable infrastructure, AI, and blockchain with experience spanning Silicon Valley startups and world-class institutions such as Facebook/Meta, Amazon, Deutsche Bank and Cambridge University.RoleAs our first smart contract engineer you'll be joining a team of strong technologists and you'll own the smart contract development and oracle integration. You'll engage with the smartest teams in DeFi lending to integrate with their protocols. While initially focused on the Ethereum ecosystem we'll be expanding across chains and you'll have the opportunity to learn and spearhead our growth. You'll have the opportunity to go from MVP through to scaled deployments and will exude positivity and a "get things done" attitude through your great communication and collaboration skills.Responsibilities

• Create or integrate oracles with our Credit Scoring REST API.
• Design and define a roadmap to take Cred Protocol towards progressive decentralization.
• Write smart contracts to integrate with Layer 1 lending protocols such as Aave, Compound, MakerDAO.
• Define and execute smart contracts which make credit scores available across chains.
• Communicate and coordinate across related functional areas such as Full-stack Engineering (API development), Data Engineering.
• Inform and educate internal and external stakeholders through writing and speaking engagements.
• Excited by decentralized finance's potential to rebuild traditional finance on blockchain rails that are fundamentally fairer and more transparent.
• Knowledgeable about smart contract security and best practices.
• Experienced user of Hardhat/Truffle and Ethers.js/web3.js.
• 3+ years using agile development methodologies.
• Ability to work with little guidance and find paths forward.
• [Bonus] Hands on experience with The Graph and building subgraphs.
• [Bonus] Experience integrating or using lending smart contracts.
