journey towards global connectivity!Global Ground Segment ManagerAs
a Global Ground Segment Manager at Astranis, you will be at the
forefront of our mission to deploy antenna systems and optimize
ground operations. You will play a vital role in ensuring the
success of our projects by owning our relationships with teleport
operators and overseeing the procurement, installation, and
management of our global antenna network.Role:
- Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end technical programs related
to ground operations, including the procurement, installation, and
maintenance of large antenna systems.
- Antenna Procurement: Manage the procurement process for large
antenna systems and related components, working closely with the
supply chain to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain teams
to understand the requirements and specifications of antenna
systems, ensuring clear communication and efficient procurement
processes.
- Gateway Installation: Oversee the installation of gateways and
associated equipment, ensuring a seamless and reliable internet
experience for our operations.
- Vendor and Partner Relationship Management: Cultivate and
maintain relationships with teleport operators, equipment vendors,
and industry experts to stay updated on the latest technologies and
best practices.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in
large antenna projects and develop mitigation strategies to ensure
successful execution.
- Scheduling: Work with our Program Management team to produce
and track the schedules of work that reflect and track the delivery
of complex ground operations products.
- Continuous Review: Use methods and metrics for assessing the
schedule, technical, and quality performance of the work, and risks
of the program.
- Costing: Develop cost-based proposals for Senior
Management.
- Communications: Draft corporate communication and detailed
processes and procedures as required.Requirements:
- 5-20+ years of experience in technical program management,
particularly in large antenna systems and ground operations.
- Strong background in supply chain management, with the ability
to understand and communicate technical requirements
effectively.
- Proven experience in coordinating complex projects from
inception to completion.
- Familiarity with Gantt charts and project management
software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with
cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel 15-20% of the time.
- Comfortable with amorphous tasks and working outside of a
highly defined role and job description to accomplish project
objectives.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing
environment.Bonus:

pay is a single component of Astranis's total rewards package,

through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data
sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate
will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including
experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment,
skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the
