Mateo, CA(hybrid)- will require coming into the office 2 times per
weekSony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is seeking an experienced
and highly motivated leader to head SIE's Artificial Intelligence
(AI) Governance initiatives, including the development and
implementation of policies, procedures, and frameworks for
responsible AI use in our organization. The ideal candidate will
have a strong technical background in AI, deep knowledge of the
ethical, legal, data privacy and compliance issues related to AI
and experience in data governance practices, as well as experience
in managing complex projects and teams.As the Senior Director of AI
Governance, you will work closely with senior management and teams
across functions within SIE, including engineering, product, data
strategy, information security, legal, corporate communications,
corporate strategy, audit and ESG, to establish and maintain best
practices for SIE's responsible use of AI and to ensure that AI
initiatives align with SIE's overall goals and values.If you are

organization.Key Responsibilities:
- Establish guidelines and frameworks for the development,
deployment, and operation of AI systems that will assess and manage
AI risks and benefits, including issues related to bias,
transparency, accountability, and security as well as legal and
compliance issues.
- Refine and evolve SIE's existing policies and procedures for AI
governance that ensure responsible use of AI technologies and
develop and implement new policies and procedures to meet evolving
best practices in the area.
- Work closely with data science, engineering, research and
product teams to identify and address ethical concerns related to
data collection, modeling, and deployment of AI technologies.
- Lead a committee of leaders across relevant functions to ensure
alignment of AI governance policies and procedures with SIE's goals
and objectives.
- Collaborate with Sony group companies and the Sony AI Ethics
team on AI governance matters.
- Monitor and assess the ethical and responsible use of AI
technologies across SIE and provide recommendations for improvement
where necessary.
- Lead the development of training and educational programs to
promote awareness of AI governance policies and procedures across
the organization.
- Collaborate with legal, privacy, information security and
compliance teams to ensure that AI initiatives comply with relevant
laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with SIE's Public Policy team to engage with
external stakeholders and industry associations to stay up-to-date
with the latest developments and best practices in AI
governance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on AI governance to support
internal and external stakeholders.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science,
Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is
preferred. Educational degrees or credentials in related fields
such as the law, particularly intellectual property and data
privacy, are also desired.
- 15 years of combined experience in AI governance, data
governance, compliance, risk and program management.
- Experience managing teams and leading projects related to AI
governance and ethics.
- Strong knowledge of AI technologies, including machine
learning, natural language processing, computer vision and the
creation and use of AI training data sets.
- Experience in developing policies, procedures, and frameworks
for AI governance.
- Education or extensive background in data privacy law and
operations and legal issues related to AI technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability
to identify and mitigate AI risks and ethical concerns.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects and teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership
skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a
