The Goodreads General Marketing Manager owns the strategy and
tactical delivery of marketing programs at Goodreads, focused on
driving engagement and revenue through content/product marketing.
This role defines the strategic direction and priorities for
Marketing and sets goals that contribute to the overall growth of
Goodreads and Amazon Books. This includes analyzing performance to
identify opportunities for optimization, testing new channels and
campaigns, uncovering potential risks that need to be mitigated,
and owning measurement and reporting to leadership.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work
autonomously, have excellent written and verbal communications
skills and the ability to influence others, working closely with
various teams internally (research, design, product, engineering,
etc.) and externally. They will have a passion for understanding
customers and not be afraid to experiment, learn, and iterate on
their approaches. The successful candidate will be customer
obsessed, skilled at data analysis, and an effective project
manager.
