As a key member of the Prepared Foods team at Whole Foods Market, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our valued customers.The Prepared Foods Team Member - Customer Service Expert position requires a strong commitment to providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times. You will be responsible for preparing, serving, and stocking a variety of hot and cold foods, including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza.To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction. You will be expected to maintain a clean and sanitary working environment, and to follow established procedures for food preparation, handling, and storage.In addition to your customer service skills, you will also be responsible for sampling products to customers, restocking hot and cold cases and displays, and completing spoilage, sampling, and sweep worksheets as required.The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will be expected to maintain a positive and professional attitude, and to adhere to all company policies and procedures.The salary for this position is estimated to be between $18.00 and $25.40 per hour, depending on experience. • Prepare, serve, and stock a variety of hot and cold foods, including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza.
• Sample products to customers and provide recommendations.
• Restock hot and cold cases and displays, and maintain a clean and sanitary working environment.
• Complete spoilage, sampling, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner.
• Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to sell proactively and provide recommendations to customers.
  • Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

  • Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectful manner to customers, vendors, and Team Members.

  • Ability to follow directions and procedures, and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
    • In an 8-hour workday, standing/walking 6-8 hours.
    • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
    • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
    • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
    • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
