Bakery Associate Team Leader Job DescriptionJob Summary:The
Bakery Associate Team Leader is a key member of our bakery team,
responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily
operations. This includes profitability, expense control, buying,
merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects
as assigned. The successful candidate will lead and develop Team
Members, ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous,
friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at
all times.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Store Layout: Create and maintain a
visually appealing store layout and product merchandising that
drives sales and enhances the customer experience.
- Work with Team Leader: Collaborate with the Team Leader to
achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, ensuring the bakery
team is aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Assist with Analysis: Assist the Team Leader in analyzing sales
reports, labor data, and other key performance indicators to drive
business decisions and improve operations.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain advanced product
knowledge, staying up-to-date on new products, ingredients, and
trends to provide exceptional customer service and drive
sales.
- Vendor Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with
vendors, develop new vendor relations, and ensure all paperwork is
properly submitted for vendor processing.
- Team Development: Foster a positive and inclusive team
environment, encouraging Team Members to grow and develop in their
roles, and addressing any team concerns or issues in a timely and
professional manner.
- Departmental Leadership: Function as the point person and
departmental leader in the absence of the Team Leader, ensuring
seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Retail Execution: Set and achieve the highest standards of
retail execution, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming store
environment for customers and Team Members.
- Customer Service: Maintain awareness of customer flows and
needs, directing Team Members to satisfy and delight customers, and
responding promptly to customer needs and questions.
- Team Member Development: Select, train, develop, mentor,
motivate, and counsel Team Members to sustain a high-performance
team and minimize turnover.
- Performance Evaluations: Provide timely, thorough, and
thoughtful performance evaluations, coaching Team Members to
improve performance and achieve company goals.
