Job Description:

Lead the Produce team, overseeing daily operations, profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, and regulatory compliance. Hire, develop, and manage Team Members, ensuring a positive company image through excellent customer service and efficient teamwork.

• Hold Team Members accountable for delivering customer service and maintain a positive work environment.
• Make hiring and separation decisions, and monitor sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Maintain product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control, and establish relationships with vendors.
• Sustain knowledge of competitors and industry trends, and set high standards for retail execution.
• Train, develop, and mentor Team Members to sustain a high-performance team.
  • Exceptional knowledge of competitors and industry trends.
  • Advanced knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Food safety certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and customer relationship skills.
  • Capable of teaching others.
  • Product knowledge and regulatory policies.
  • Proficient mathematical skills for financial performance and inventory management.
    • 24+ months retail experience, including 12+ months of team leadership experience.
      • Lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
      • Work in a wet and cold environment, and use box cutters and other heavy machinery.
