Job Description:
- Job Description: Assist the Team Leader in daily operations,
profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor,
regulatory compliance, and special projects. Lead and develop Team
Members.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain creative store layout and product
merchandising.
- Work with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor
targets.
- Assist Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports, and
labor.
- Assist Team Leader with ordering and inventory
management.
- Work with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or
issues.
- Function as point person and departmental person in charge in
absence of Team Leader.
- Set and achieve the highest standards of retail
execution.
- Foster a positive environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and
exceptional morale.
- Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs and direct Team
Members to satisfy customers.
- Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team
Members.
- Communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security
standards.
- Provide performance evaluations and consistently communicate
WFM vision and goals.
- Required Skills:
- High energy, enthusiasm, and affinity for WFM products, core
values, and company philosophy.
- Extensive knowledge of meat products.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operations-related
applications.
- Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+
months of supervisory experience.
- Physical Requirements:
- Lift 50 pounds.
- Stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
- Use hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing, and
pulling.
- Perform bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
motions.
- Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
- Work in temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
- Ability to handle knives and cutting equipment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends,
and holidays.
- Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters and
heavy machinery.
