• Job Description: Assist the Team Leader in daily operations, profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects. Lead and develop Team Members.
  
• Key Responsibilities:
  
  • 
    
  • Develop and maintain creative store layout and product merchandising.
    
  • Work with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
    
  • Assist Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports, and labor.
    
  • Assist Team Leader with ordering and inventory management.
    
  • Work with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
    
  • Function as point person and departmental person in charge in absence of Team Leader.
    
  • Set and achieve the highest standards of retail execution.
    
  • Foster a positive environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
    
  • Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs and direct Team Members to satisfy customers.
    
  • Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members.
    
  • Communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security standards.
    
  • Provide performance evaluations and consistently communicate WFM vision and goals.

    • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
      
    • Physical Requirements:

      • Lift 50 pounds.
        
      • Stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
        
      • Use hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
        
      • Perform bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions.
        
      • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
        
      • Work in temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
        
      • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
        
      • Ability to handle knives and cutting equipment.
        
      • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
        
      • Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters and heavy machinery.
