Software Engineer II - Notifications PlatformTorontoPagerDuty

is seeking a Software Engineer II - Notifications Platform to join
our team.As a Software Engineer in Platform, you'll help PagerDuty
through a highly strategic transformation from a pure product to a
platform. You will play a key role in working to define and build a
set of platform building blocks to manage real-time work and
workflows.Key Responsibilities
- Partner with our technical leaders and your peers to build out
the next generation PagerDuty Platform.
- Take part in building systems that will evolve our existing
architecture, micro-services, and larger services into this new
platform design.
- Collaborate closely across many different product development
teams to validate and pressure test our new platform architecture,
design, APIs, and user experience.
- Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies
to build solutions that solve customer problems.
- Prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a highly dynamic
environment with a results-oriented mindset.Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years designing, developing, and managing customer-facing
SaaS applications and web-based systems.
- Strong experience in designing and building REST APIs.
- Experience in Java, Go, Elixir, Ruby on Rails, Kafka,
React.
- Experience working in an agile environment with iterative
development and fast feedback.
- Public cloud engineering on AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP
platforms.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Empathetic communication skills to facilitate technical
discussions.Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on highly available distributed
systems.
