Job Description:
About the role We are hiring for an Associate on Chime's
Compliance Governance & Assurance team. You will work in a fast
paced environment and play an essential role in ensuring Chime
remains compliant with regulatory requirements, internal policies,
and bank partner expectations. In this role you will perform
strategic end-to-end compliance testing of Chime's innovative
products and services to identify risks and control gaps. This will
involve partnership with internal teams, as well as collaboration
with our issuing bank partner's legal and compliance teams. This
role will report to the Senior Manager of Compliance Assurance and
Testing. The base salary offered for this role and level of
experience will begin at $82,620 and up to $114,800. Full-time
employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity
package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be
higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and
experience. In this role, you can expect to
- Lead the end-to-end compliance testing process: from
strategically scoping the review, partnering with cross functional
teams to obtain necessary documentation, performing robust testing
and gathering/reporting testing results to senior management.
- Proactively assist the business by identifying solutions to
complex issues/findings and performing follow-up to ensure
remediation is successful.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to perform compliance
testing and/or to support bank partner testing oversight.
- Play a key role in creating and designing automated internal
compliance monitoring and testing to identify trends, issues, and
key performance and risk indicators.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
and understand regulatory impact of changes to product/service
offerings. To thrive in this role, you have
- 3-5 years of work experience, including: regulatory compliance
testing in Financial Services, Risk Consulting or Fintech
companies.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and rules governing consumer
financial protection, banking, payment networks, money
transmission, and consumer lending.
- Strong problem-solving skills are essential and demonstrated
ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Work well with ambiguity and multiple priorities while
balancing the interests of multiple stakeholders.
- Analytical skills, such as SQL or data visualization, are a
