Program leader is responsible for cultivating a positive and
mutually beneficial school day and after school program partnership
through intentional work during structured and unstructured times
of the school day. The Linked Day Program is an academic support
program intended to serve the needs of our schools' lowest
performing students and English Learners by providing literacy
interventions during the school day and supporting them in making
significant gains in reading, writing, and math throughout the
year. Additionally, we aim to support these students during the
after school hours. During after school time, the Linked Day leader
is responsible for running a classroom of approximately 20 students
during enrichment and homework time. The Academic Intervention
Linked Day program leader works in consultation with the
instructional leadership of the school to achieve these goals.After
School Program dates:
- San Francisco ASP sites: must be available to work August 19,
2024 - June 4, 2025
- San Mateo ASP sites: must be available to work August 19, 2024
- June 12, 2025
- Marin ASP sites: must be available to work August 22, 2024 -
June 12, 2025Stonestown YMCA is seeking an Academic Intervention
Linked Day Program Leader for the 2024-25 School Year to support
programs at Jose Ortega Elementary School and Sheridan Elementary
School.Minimum Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Associate's degree or higher, or High School
diploma/equivalent, and any of the following: passed the District
Instructional Aide Exam, CA Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST), or
completed 48 college units verified by transcript
- Must be highly motivated to provide quality After School
opportunities to youth
- Knowledge or expertise in youth development
- Must be available daily Monday through Friday during school day
and after school program hours (9:30 am-6:00 pm, shifts may vary,
up to 40 hours/week)
- Experience working with elementary or middle school
students
- YMCA approved CPR and First Aid Certification (training
available upon hire)
- Fingerprint background check clearance
- TB Test clearancePreferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with teaching credential
- Experience with EPs, SSTs, 504s, and all other interventions
and accommodation plans
- Knowledge of San Francisco Unified School district reading and
writing assessments and curriculum
- Interest in pursuing a career in primary and/or secondary
education
- Bi-lingual in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or
other languages
- Connections in the local San Francisco communityAll employees
