We are looking for a Rolling Stock Coach and Transit Intern. This
position will be based at our Sacramento area branch located in
California.
During your journey with us, you will have the opportunity to
immerse yourself in the Coaches and Trainsets Department where you
will work with Project Managers on our Coach and Trainset projects
across several states and internationally with suppliers and other
Siemens locations in North America and Europe. This includes
autonomously working with our project team on small work packages
in the project.

A little bit about us
Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation
of people and goods by rail - including rolling stock, rail
automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and
manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including
commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars,
metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets.
Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power
substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and
control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit
systems.
How does (department) plays into the big picture?
Our Rolling Stock team works on delivering product offerings such
as light rail vehicles, electric locomotives, diesel-electric
locomotives, and passenger coaches. Our operations team ensures
that departments like employee health & safety, supply chain
management, logistics, car shell welding, bogie fabrication and
assembly, electrical subassembly, gluing, painting, and vehicle
final assembly run smoothly.
The candidate will participate in internal and external meetings
for the projects, work with our Project Managers and Engineers on
design improvements, technical documentation, Coach production,
field modifications and test procedures. Depending on your
background and previous experience, ownership of a sub project from
start to finish is also possible.

The hourly pay range for this position is $22 - $26 per hour, based
off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may
be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience,
knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into
our 401K program.
