Job Description:

The Trade Error Analyst is responsible for working with internal and external parties to evaluate and document any potential account incidents such as trading errors or cost basis discrepancies. This includes working with back/middle office, brokers, and custodians to research and resolve reconciliation, corporate actions, trade, and settlement issues. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the characteristics of multiple asset classes (equity, corporate bonds, MBS, mutual funds, etc.) and exposure to trade execution and settlement requirements. This is a hybrid position located in San Francisco, CA. The approximate hours are 5:30am PT to 2:30pm PT (east coast trading hours).What you will do:

• Collaborate with trading, portfolio management, client service, & sales staff to research and respond to account-related issues.
• Coordinate and administer all error/incident evaluation and analysis in the error tracking database.
• Address any account cost basis issues as they arise.
• Document and maintain all trade error incidents in our internal database.
• Improve quality controls by recommending operational improvements and opportunities to automate.
• Perform regular reviews and updates of policies, procedures and controls relating to trade errors or quality issues.
  • Lead special projects as needed.What you'll bring:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a trade operations role, preferably with an investment manager or custodian/broker dealer.
    • Bachelor's degree, preferably with quantitative coursework (e.g., math, stats, econometrics, etc.)
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills (experience with Excel Macro creation/maintenance is a plus)
    • Strong organizational skills and high-level of attention to detail
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Ability to work on multiple issues/projects simultaneously and independently.
    • Ability to handle deadlines and time-sensitive situations.
    • Excellent communication skills (written & oral)
    • Resourcefulness/problem solving abilities.
    • Team player, great collaborator.
    • Must be willing to work east coast market hours.

In accordance with the California salary transparency law, the expected annual salary for this San Francisco, CA, United States-based position is $55,000 - $95,000. Actual annual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, and other job-related factors.
