Job Description:

A dynamic printing company on the peninsula is in need of a Lead Press Operator to operate the 6/C Heidelberg XL 105 to run high quality production in their commercial printing firm. Will need over sight of project and crew. Must be able to work with a feeder as a team unit.

Be able to run achieve Gracol G7 Standards.

*Complete Understanding of LAB values and Image control. (Color scanning device).

*Be able to achieve ink and water balance and maintain color balance throughout job.

*How to achieve proper registration.

*Working knowledge of dot gain, proper trap, inks and coatings and how they work with a multitude of substrates.

* Have a understanding of plate curves and how they affect the CT in ? tone, mid tone and ? tone values.

* Knowledge and or experience with retrieving JDF files and how to preset the CPC 2000 and set up press the most efficient way.

* Good eye for color and be able to match proofs.

* Able to produce project according to docket specifications.

* Able to follow work instructions, including all DQAC and all ISO Documentation.

* How to hang blankets and plates properly. Be able to pack press properly.

* Knowledge of the alcolor water system works and the vario roller as well as the setting of it.

* Working knowledge of the Techno trans cooling and water system.

* Be able to set rollers to manufacturing specifications.

* Be able to work at a high production rate in our fast passed environment.

* Able to data collect all details from project as well as document it.
