About the Role:As the Director of Sales, you are responsible for
driving and managing the growth of all Digital first business
opportunities in the North American region. As a player-coach, you
will lead a team of Sales professionals and work closely with
various departments to develop and execute strategies that drive
revenue and market share expansion. This role requires a strong
understanding of the industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a
track record of successfully acquiring new customers.What will you
do:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development
strategy to drive new business growth within the North American
region.
- Lead and manage a team of sales professionals as a
player-coach, providing guidance and support to achieve sales
targets and objectives.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, customer
segments, and strategic partnerships to expand the company's
footprint.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders,
including potential customers, partners, and industry
influencers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing,
product development, and operations, to ensure successful execution
of business development initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market data, and
customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop
action plans accordingly.
- Prepare and present regular reports, forecasts, and budgets to
senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, growth
opportunities, and risks.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging
technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and
trade shows to promote the brand and generate leads.What are we
looking out for?
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in business
development, sales, or a related role, with a track record of
successfully driving new business growth. Experience working in a
martech space is preferred.
- Strong track record of driving execution
- 0-to-1 mindset - hungry to prove yourself in a fast-paced
startup environment; ability to build your own pipeline & create
awareness in the region
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and
motivate a sales team to achieve targets and exceed
expectations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively with
customers and partners.
- In-depth knowledge of the industry, market dynamics, and
competitive landscape.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate
insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proactive and results-oriented approach, with a strong sense of
urgency and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic
environment.
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy, with the ability
to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Willingness to travel as needed within the designated region
and occasionally outside the region.Measures of Success:
- Business Leadership: Revenue growth 200+% YoY Growth
Trajectory, with focus on KPIs such as New Business bookings, win
rates, pipeline metrics
- Brand Building: Category leadership in the Customer Engagement
space. Market share growth & competitive differentiation.
